Reopening of the Santa Cruz Multipurpose Court

A Renewed Space for the Community

The 21st of March represented a noteworthy milestone for the Santa Cruz community with the reopening of its Multipurpose Court (Cancha de Usos Múltiples), made possible through the collaborative endeavors of Fundación Costa Palmas, private initiatives, and the local government. This facility holds significant value for the populace, functioning as a central hub for sports activities and communal gatherings.

Throughout the rehabilitation project, a range of enhancements were implemented, encompassing:

Masonry:

• Repair of cracks and plastering on walls and ceilings of bathrooms, as well as on the stage and wall.
• Demolition of concrete furniture in poor condition.

Painting:

• Installation of new lines on the sports court.
• Sanding, washing, and application of sealant and paint on planters, stage, bathrooms (interior and exterior), and light poles.
• Application of waterproofing in the bathrooms.

Plumbing and Electricity:

• Replacement and installation of two toilets, two sinks, and two urinals, along with new piping.
• Replacement of cables, main panel, and new electrical installation.
• Installation of rosettes and lights in the stage area.
• Renovation of pipes in the bathrooms.

Metalwork:

• Maintenance and painting of bathroom doors.
• Replacement and construction of new basketball boards.
