A Fun and Fulfilling Volunteer Day in La Ribera

Last week, on April 16, 2024, the Costa Palmas Foundation, in collaboration with a visiting agency and Four Seasons Los Cabos, organized a volunteer event that left a positive impact on the La Ribera community. Over 160 people came together to carry out a day full of activities aimed at benefiting local residents. It all began when the visiting company that chose Four Seasons Los Cabos as the destination for their team-building trip expressed interest in making a significant contribution to the surrounding community. Thus, in partnership with the Costa Palmas Foundation, a plan was created to implement actions that would make a difference.

During a vibrant "Beach Party," where various activities were set up for participating members, the Costa Palmas Foundation organized a special station dedicated to assembling boxes - or aid kits with essential items for different demographic groups destined for the delegations of Santiago, Miraflores, and La Ribera.

The boxes for the elderly were composed of products such as Ensure (supplemental drinks), adult diapers, wet wipes, and Kleenex, while those destined for babies contained diapers, lotion, diaper cream, shampoo, wet wipes, and a baby bottle. On the other hand, hygiene boxes included items such as hand towels, soap, toothpaste, shampoo, and deodorant, among others, along with a first aid kit.

The box assembly activity turned into an entertaining timed relay competition, in which volunteers enthusiastically participated. In addition to placing the items in each box, they left notes with messages of support and hope, as well as tickets for those who would receive these donations. In total, around 300 boxes were assembled, which were delivered to the local community through the DIF of La Ribera, Santiago, and Miraflores.

This event not only marked the beginning of a significant collaboration between the Costa Palmas Foundation and companies like this one, but also involved about 10 students from the Telebachillerato of La Ribera, allowing them to contribute to the well-being of their community.

We deeply appreciate the commitment and support provided by Four Seasons Los Cabos, whose collaboration was essential to making this event a reality. Likewise, we extend our recognition to the participating agency and their entire team for their dedication and enthusiasm for this noble cause.

This volunteer day not only left a lasting impression on the La Ribera community but also laid the groundwork for future initiatives aimed at generating a positive and lasting impact in the region. We hope that this is just the first of many corporate events in collaboration with the Costa Palmas Foundation, where together we can continue to build a brighter future for all.
